To customize your default RSVP template, please:
On the right side of your screen, you will see the HTML that forms your default RSVP confirmation email. Before you begin editing this template, the first step is to save a copy of the original HTML in Google Drive. You can then revert to this version if you make an unintended change. While editing, periodically click the ‘Save Draft’ button (in the upper right-hand corner of the screen) to ensure that your recent work is saved. To preview your template at any time, click ‘Preview & Test’ (in the right-hand corner of the screen) and then ‘Preview’. Please note that since the RSVP confirmation emails use variable tokens to insert event-specific information into the emails, the emails will look a little empty in Mandrill’s preview mode. This is expected - and shouldn’t hinder your ability to successfully customize this template. Changing The Logo The recommended header logo dimensions are 584 x 78 (including the white space on either side of the logo). To replace your metro’s logo:
Adjusting The Copy The body copy for these emails begins on line 121 and includes the following variable tokens: {{event_url}}, {{event_title}}, {{venue_title}} and {{event_time}}. Please feel free to modify this copy to add some local pizzazz to these emails - but do not modify the variable tokens. Feel free to move them around - just don’t edit them. They need to be expressed in the exact way that they’re written in the default template or they will not work. The footer copy for these emails begins on line 226. If you’re editing the footer copy and links, then we assume that you’re comfortable using HTML to do so. If you’re not, please send your copy changes to Support and they will happily update your template for you. Saving Changes Remember that your changes will not be made live until you hit ‘Publish.’ Be sure to test your changes before you publish (by sending tests to yourself) and also after you publish (by actually RSVPing for an event).
